

Ken Gregory
Ken Gregory started playing trumpet in 1959 and after completing four years of private training and playing 1st chair trumpet in his high school concert band, he worked as conductor and lead trumpet player of the Six Flags Over Georgia orchestra (1968-1971). He began playing guitar, electric bass and keyboards, and soon began working in nightclub bands while assembling a recording studio. In 1981 he formed a partnership with an electronics technician, and moved into the professional studio business. Performance venues changed from clubs to private parties and concerts. He continues to develop his studio and has recorded over 2000 albums since 1994.

Since 1971 Ken has been an active composer, arranger, audio engineer, band leader and sideman. As a composer he has written hundreds of pieces for various clients such as Turner Broadcasting, the Weather Channel, advertising for radio and TV, lyricists and songwriters of all types, and for his and others albums. Playing trumpet, guitar, bass and keyboard on thousands of studio sessions, he's quite familiar with orchestration, arranging and composition, as well as audio engineering and MIDI programming techniques.

His band "Solid State", performs their original compositions, and have been featured on PBS "Jazz Atlanta", at The Montreaux Jazz Festival, the Atlanta Jazz Festival and the Atlanta Arts Festival, as well in many jazz clubs and private parties. Ken continues to be active in the professional music and recording business in Atlanta.
